Formulation of poorly soluble actives in life science applications, e.g. for pharmaceutical and agricultural applications, in animal health, personal care, in the food industry, etc., is one of the most important challenges in the development of New Chemical Entities (NCEs).

We offer a new method for stabilizing amorphous submicron active formulations using a polymer matrix and several different technologies for actually embedding the active substance: melt dispersion, precipitation, solvent evaporation, supercritical processes or milling – depending on the individual properties of the active.

In our lab, the formulation can be developed, produced and tested in vitro. Pilot plants are available for the production of samples for market introduction. For clinical trials a transfer to laboratories suitable for GMP work can be supported.

Besides the formulation of poorly soluble active substances, expertise is available for:

  • long acting formulations;
  • taste masking:
  • flow-cell release measurement:
  • penetration measurement.
