Optimal flow conditions are a decisive factor in the success of your processes. Optimization of these conditions enables you to substantially improve such parameters as:

  • conversion, yield and selectivity of reactors;
  • product quality;
  • availability of equipment by preventing operational disturbances caused by fouling;
  • operating reliability;
  • energy consumption.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a modern technique that provides rapid optimization of flow conditions using computer simulation. The particular strength of CFD is that the need of experiments that would only be possible in the “real” world at great effort and expense can be reduced significantly. CFD thus allows you to obtain an optimal solution to your problem with a minimum of effort and expense.

CFD has a wide range of applications:

  • Equipment design: CFD permits predictions to be made about scale-up properties and optimal design of complex equipment under adverse conditions.
  • Process optimization: Detailed simulation permits targeted optimization strategies.
