CFD+ Integration process simulation

CFD+: Integration of flow and process simulation

References

CFD+ was developed to address chemical process engineering issues. This new technology was put to use at Bayer in various process simulation projects:

  • firmly and weakly coupled crystallization processes are simulated using CFD+;
  • local chain length distribution was calculated for the first time for polycarbonate production;
  • the complex reaction kinetics within a multiphase system were represented as a neural network and coupled with CFD;
  • the computing time required for examination of polymerization kinetics in an agitating vessel reactor was drastically reduced using the double-grid method;
  • inlet flows for a complex, quasi-automatically generated compartment model was calculated using CFD tools for simulation of a process step in the production of rubber.

You possess extensive know-how about your processes – and we offer you the opportunity to improve your processes through solutions that we work out together on the basis of our many years of experience with our high-performance simulation tools.
