We have experience with an extremely wide range of processes and products within the Bayer Group. Owing to our many years of experience, our main strength lies in the technological implementation of concepts. The list below shows some of the aspects of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis which we have covered:

• heterogenization of acid-base-catalyzed processes, e.g. for rearrangement, acylation, condensation reactions and nitration;
• homogeneous liquid-phase oxidation reactions;
• use of zeolites, hydrotalcites and ion exchangers as catalysts;
• use of catalysts in innovative reaction engineering concepts (e.g. monoliths for chemical syntheses, riser regenerator processes for dynamic reaction control);
• separation and recovery of high-grade catalyst components in homogeneous catalysis.
