Solid Liquid Seperation
Characterization of Suspensions – Properties for Separation
We prepare a finger print of the suspension which contains all relevant material data, such as density and viscosity, particle size distribution, and solids density. A photo taken with a scanning electron microscope rounds out the data.
You now have a complete characterization of your product.
Our laboratory places a large amount of equipment at your disposal, including:
- vacuum and pressure filters (20, 50, 100 cm²);
- compressibility and permeability cells up to 130 bar;
- test cell for dynamic (cross-flow) filtration;
- beaker centrifuges (fed while rotating);
- sedimentation centrifuges.
We have decades of process engineering and scale-up expertise in solid-liquid separation and the related equipment, which we use in all steps of a project, from test planning to preliminary equipment selection, scale-up and optimization.
