To determine your technological positioning in the market we compile any necessary investigation, evaluation or report. For comparison first we identify the leading-edge technology, which might offer a significant competitive advantage. A number of factors, especially site-specific and site-related parameters, have to be factored out of comparisons in order to obtain an objective assessment of technological leadership. Process comparisons are therefore carried out under standardized conditions, using the costs for a preselected representative site (e.g. US Gulf Coast, the Lower Rhine area in Europe, Shanghai/Asia). Plant size, raw materials, financing, etc. are also standardized. The results obtained in this way provide information on the best available technology.
