Market and Competitors’ Analysis

A knowledge of competitors’ strengths is the basis of every strategy for success.

… is your gain

A competitors’ analysis provides a clear overview of the market position of the technology you use, enabling you to obtain an objective view of your technological position relative to your competitors.

Extensive data may inherently be available at the start of an analysis. For example: you know who your competitors are and may already have a good deal of information on them through personal contacts, your own research or newspaper reports. You may even have a benchmark study on hand.

However, experience shows that companies often do not have the time or qualified staff to systematically extend, process and compare this information. That is essential if you are to obtain, for instance, a full overview of your competitors’ production costs.

Even if you were prepared to do this work by yourself, there might be some residual doubt about whether your assessment of your own position is too optimistic (or too pessimistic) and whether your subjective opinion might have interfered with a thorough and objective evaluation of competitors.

A well-researched and objective competitors’ analysis with a quantitative evaluation is an important basis for future business decisions. In all these areas, you benefit from the expertise of a capable, independent partner.
