Bayer Technology Services offers an innovative technology based on optical fibers as sensor elements for online temperature measurements. The technology provides online measuring of temperature profiles in process engineering equipment with a standardized link to process control systems. Thanks to related technology the device can even be combined with chemical composition measurements based on NIR spectroscopy.

In chemical processes the temperature is an absolute key parameter in conducting processes safely and efficiently. To date the temperature has been measured merely at selected points which are accessible by conventional technology. SpectroBAY^® MultiTemp makes it possible to determine whole temperature profiles or spatial temperature distributions.
