Corrosion monitoring in chemical processes baycorroxxion®
online-system for production plants
Baycorroxxion from BTS represents an innovative system for online corrosion monitoring. It combines SmartCET® measuring technology from Honeywell with reliable ARTS automation software from BTS.
This means that BTS can now provide an automated PAT solution for online corrosion monitoring.
The system encompasses the following functionalities:
- Determination and data output of up to 8 corrosion-related parameters (e. g. electrochemical noise (EN))
- Automated evaluation of corrosion-related parameters (e. g. surface erosion) with plausibility inspection and classification of corrosion types (e. g. local corrosion, surface corrosion)
- Simplified traffic light function for automated evaluation of corrosion status and qualitative appraisal of corrosion processes
- Data access via remote control to all corrosion-related measurement data
- Conformity to NAMUR PAT recommendations (e. g. self-monitoring)
- Flexible data interfaces via BTS ARTS software (Profibus DP, Modbus, 4-20 mA and others)
Moreover, BTS also provides the expertise for specific customer probe design and other corrosion monitoring services:
- Individual customizing and adaptation of sensors to critical plant positions provide convincing results
- Specific customer probe design and production (material, dimensioning, structure, see Illus. Model sensor)
- Specific application electrode selection to ensure a high level of sensitivity and reliable measurement data
- Expert support: Regular status reports on corrosion monitoring from BTS corrosion experts
- Realisation of solutions under explosion protection conditions
