Hannover Messe: Track, Trace & Authentication portfolio and process analyzer technology in focus
Bayer Technology Services (BTS) is presenting innovative technology solutions for the fields of identification technology and process analyzer technology at the Hannover Messe trade show from April 4 to 8, 2011.
The company will be exhibiting its Track, Trace & Authentication (TTA) portfolio, encompassing barcodes, 2D data matrix codes, RFID solutions and the latest authentification technologies at Stand A38 in Hall 17. In combination with professional track and trace applications, these identification technologies make it possible to protect brands and products by continuously monitoring goods along the entire value-added chain. In this context, a consistent solution is critical, because the parameters specific to a particular country or market pose different challenges for companies in terms of product tracking and protection.
Deciding on the right project approach requires not only knowledge of the various product identification technologies and the IT architecture, but also in-depth process know-how along the entire supply chain. The expertise of Bayer Technology Services in this field ranges from consulting (e.g. drafting TT&A concepts, including business case, risk assessment, engineering blueprint and qualification preparation) to engineering services such as project management, requirement engineering, supplier selection and evaluation, implementation and quality management.
Process analyzer technology: SpectroBAY® now also for use in laboratories
The SpectroBAY® process spectrometer system will be the center of attention at the online analytics exhibit at Stand B34 in Hall 11. This proven system already has been sold over 100 times and currently is in use online at over 500 measuring points. Together with fiber optic technology and individually configured probes for determining substance concentrations, the system supports continuous process control and thus also maximum process reliability.
A GxP model of SpectroBAY® is now also available. A newly developed qualification system minimizes documentation effort for users when using SpectroBAY® in production.
Bayer Technology Services will be presenting this adaptation of the SpectroBAY® system for automated sample preparation in laboratory and process applications for the first time. The modular SpectroBAY® Sample Preparation system takes over the tasks of sample transport and sample processing, such as filtration or dilution, before a prepared sample undergoes spectroscopic analysis to determine the substance matrix. The sample preparation hardware can be tailored to customer applications. In addition, various hardware modules can be combined, such as burette pumps, filters, stirrers, peristaltic pumps and multiport valves.
The ARTS software developed by Bayer Technology Services manages control functions, but also processes measurement data and monitors components. The sample preparation system can also be used to automate other laboratory or online analyzers.
