Our service ...

We offer a range of modern in vitro methods for the investigation of membrane-bound receptors as drug development targets:

  • expression and characterization of ion channels and receptors in Xenopus oocytes;
  • automated substance testing using the ROBOOCYTE workstation developed in-house;
  • secondary testing of hits from high-throughput screening;
  • patch clamp measurements on cultured cells, cell lines and primary cultures;
  • combination of fluorescence and patch clamp measurements;
  • parallel recording with multi-electrode arrays (MEA);
  • development and optimization of measuring instruments;
  • consulting services and training of customers.

We have broad experience with a wide variety of electrophysiological methods, electrogenic drug targets and test compounds.

Our specific expertise and scientific publications cover nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, chimeric receptors, and the characterization of receptor subtypes.
