Astrid Geissler has been head of the Human Resources sector of Bayer Technology Services as a Global HR//Business Partner since October 1, 2006.

Ms. Geissler was born in Leverkusen on July 22, 1962. After obtaining a degree in business studies, Ms. Geissler joined the Staff department of the then Plastics Business Group (KU) of Bayer AG in Leverkusen in 1989. After gaining experience in various controlling functions and projects, she became head of Central Controlling in Leverkusen in 1994.

During 1998/1999 she was involved in the introduction of SAP as project manager with responsibility for the business realignment of KU. She then transferred to Group headquarters where she took charge of the Controlling Concepts/Methods department of the Planning and Controlling sector. 4 years later she took over as head of the Personnel Policy department in the Corporate Center sector of Human Resources Germany.
